Create and sell event tickets

Publish an event, add ticket tiers, and sell tickets that settle straight to your own payment account.

You can publish events on Ardent Africa and, for paid events, sell tickets. Free events are free to publish; paid events have a single flat platform fee.

Publish an event

  1. Sign in and choose Create event.
  2. Add a title, description, type, and category.
  3. Set the date, time, and timezone, and choose whether it is in person or online.
  4. Set a location (or add the online details, shown only to registered attendees).
  5. Add your agenda, speakers, sponsors, and gallery to make the page shine.
  6. Add tags so people can find it in search.
  7. Publish. Your event appears in listings and search.

Sell paid tickets

  1. Mark your event as paid.
  2. Add one or more ticket tiers (for example "Early bird" and "Regular"), each with a name, price, and quantity.
  3. Set sales start and end times if you want tickets to open or close automatically.
  4. Connect your own payment account so ticket money goes directly to you.

Ticket money goes straight to you

Organizers sell tickets through their own Paystack or Hubtel account. Ticket payments settle directly to you — Ardent Africa never holds your ticket revenue. To sell paid tickets, connect your own payment account in your organizer settings.

What to connect depends on your provider:

  • Paystack — your public key (pk_…) and secret key (sk_…).
  • Hubtel — your POS Sales ID (your Hubtel merchant account number, where the money lands) plus your API Client ID and Client Secret.

Either way, your secret credentials are encrypted and never shown again after you save them. Buyers paying with Paystack check out on the event page; buyers paying with Hubtel are taken to Hubtel's secure checkout and returned once payment is confirmed.

The platform fee

Publishing a paid event has a single flat platform fee of GHS 699 per event, charged once. Free events have no platform fee. There is no per-ticket commission and no cut of your ticket sales — the flat fee is the whole cost of running a paid event on the platform.

Manage your event

From your organizer dashboard you can edit the event, manage ticket tiers, offer promo codes, see who has registered, and check attendees in on the day.
