Share links & click tracking

Short, trackable ardent.africa/s/ links for your campaigns — and the analytics behind them.

When you share a campaign or a blog post, Ardent automatically turns the long page URL into a short, clean link like https://ardent.africa/s/aB3xK9. Short links are easier to paste into WhatsApp, SMS, and social posts — and they let you see how your sharing is performing.

Sharing a campaign

  1. Open your campaign and tap Share (on the web or in the mobile app).
  2. Pick a channel — WhatsApp, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Telegram, email, SMS, or copy the link.
  3. Ardent creates a short link for that channel and shares it. You can also scan or download a QR code of the link for posters and print.

You don't have to do anything extra — the short link is created the moment you share.

From your dashboard, go to Share links to shorten any URL yourself:

  1. Paste the destination URL (for example, your campaign page).
  2. Optionally choose a custom code (e.g. /s/flood-appeal) and a label to recognise it later.
  3. Create the link and copy it anywhere.

Reading your analytics

Each link has an analytics view showing:

  • Total clicks and unique visitors.
  • Clicks over time for the last 90 days.
  • A breakdown by channel (which platform drove the clicks), device, country, and referrer.

Automated link previews and crawlers (the little preview cards that appear when you paste a link) are detected and kept separate, so your visitor numbers reflect real people.

Privacy

We never store your visitors' raw IP addresses — only an anonymised value used to count unique visitors. Country and device information comes from standard request data and is used only to show you these aggregate insights.
